mixed feelings about the stay

the hotel is expansive and faces the ocean it had a beautiful view.
the food was average i noticed a lack of healthy options at lunch and dinner also the early morning prayers from nearby mosques interrupted sleep even with earplugs i felt exhausted.

The sun beds had a great service at the beach. the staff were generally friendly and helpful. i went on two boat trips, one for sunset and another for half a day. Both were nice for snorkeling.
The hotel is in a secluded area. I think two different restaurant options for dinner would improve the experience. during most of my six-night stay, only one restaurant was open. one day, i tried to reserve an outside table for dinner during lunchtime, but i was told they were full. i expected more flexibility from a five-star hotel.

The room looked nothing like the pictures online. it was really dark because of the lack of light fixtures and all the dark wood. getting in and out of bed was also hard because of the big bed frame. It was painful! there was very little privacy from the staff. I reminded me of they were always watching. i know they meant well, but it felt intrusive. and when i actually needed something, like someone to clear our room service dishes, nobody came. i had to ask repeatedly for menus and coffee at breakfast. the loud music from the new year's eve party made it impossible to sleep, too.

The lack of privacy was unsettling. Staff were always asking if i needed anything. it felt invasive. the loud music from the nye party made sleep impossible. the staff forgot orders, and i had to ask multiple times for basic things. I even asked three times for coffee!

the food quality stood out to me (i especially liked the indonesian dishes). i found the staff consistently attentive. they have an amazing beach club that provides facilities for snorkelling. they also have bike riding included.
